The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) has launched Money & Life, an online destination designed to help Australians improve their financial wellbeing.

Money & Life will empower and educate Australians with practical tips and inspiring real life stories to help them manage their finances. The site will explore a wide variety of topics including how to grow wealth, manage family and life events, prepare for life after work, and provide guidance on choosing the right financial planner.

The new site also provides readers with an opportunity to put their financial planning questions to a financial planning expert, via the ‘Ask a Planner’ video series. The expert panel is made up of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals and other FPA practitioner members.

Readers can sign up to receive regular email newsletters to build their financial literacy, or find a local FPA member through the FPA’s Find a Planner tool, which already generates over 70,000 searches a year.

FPA CEO Dante De Gori CFP® said finding high quality financial advice can be complex and challenging for many Australians, but the new site will help make this process easier.

“Money & Life will provide readers with easy to understand information to help them take control of their financial future. We see this as a first step for those not yet ready to seek professional financial advice.

“We know that professional financial advice changes lives. Recent research* found that 77% of advised Australians believe their financial wellbeing has improved or dramatically improved. We hope that Money & Life will educate more Australians about the benefits of finding a properly
qualified financial planner.”

For FPA members and other financial planning professionals, Money & Life will also offer content on strategy, practice management, career development and business growth, with the ability for FPA members to also earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

“With exclusive CPD accredited articles for FPA members on topics such as ethics, client service, investing, superannuation and insurance, Money & Life will develop into a leading destination for financial planning strategy, insights and analysis.

“In a way, Money & Life belongs to our members. We encourage FPA members to own it, leverage the content to empower those in their own network, and of course ensure their Find a Planner profile is up to date. We are also looking for FPA members to contribute to the site, as we look to grow the pool of financial planning expertise on Money & Life,” said Mr De Gori.
