Australian investment executive Mark Rogers has been announced a non-executive director on sustainability consultants Edge Environment’s board.

Currently, Managing Director of fund manager New Forests, Rogers has 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure, natural resources, and energy sectors. Previously, he has been an investment executive with Colonial First State Global Asset Management and was involved in large-scale infrastructure project developments with Origin Energy. Mark has also served as an independent director and deputy chair with the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia, helping them establish the Infrastructure Rating scheme, a world first.

“Edge Environment is constantly pushing the sustainability boundary. I am looking forward to working with Edge on their Board to explore where their business can grow and to help push their innovative thinking and results driven culture.” said Rogers. “I’m equally interested in how this innovation can be used by investors to protect and enhance their investments and I think there is wonderful synergy in the two skill sets coming together.” he added.

“Mark adds indisputable experience, skills and reputation to our thinking. He understands infrastructure and investment businesses and has a proven track record in helping them on-board the principles of sustainability. We couldn’t be happier to have him on our side.” said Edge Environment chairman and co-founder Tom Davies.
