ANZ and AFA open nominations for the 2017 Rising Star of the Year award

 ANZ and the Association of Financial Advisers have called on the advice industry to nominate its best and brightest new advisers for the 2017 AFA Rising Star of the Year Award.

Now in its 13th year, the award recognises advisers with four years’ experience or less who deliver quality financial advice, provide an exceptional client experience and actively contribute to the financial literacy of their clients and community.

Commenting on the award, ANZ Wealth Head of Sales Don Sillar said: “We’re looking for advisers who have made a big impact during their short time in the industry, who are focused on their professional development and improving the advice experience.

“As a long-standing sponsor of this award, our team at ANZ has been consistently impressed with the calibre of nominees and we’re looking forward to meeting more outstanding individuals this year.

“This award is a proven springboard to a successful advice career. I encourage those in the industry to nominate a deserving colleague, and for advisers to nominate themselves.

“While there can only be one winner, this award offers a great experience for the top 10 advisers selected and even more so for the six finalists. If you’re a high-performing new adviser, this is an opportunity you want to be part of,” Mr Sillar said.

Finalists will have the opportunity to attend a full day Mastering Motivation seminar, where they will learn about the tools and techniques to drive motivation in a challenging industry. The winner of the award will also receive six individualised coaching sessions, to develop a tailored strategy to support their unique advice proposition.

The winner will be announced at the AFA National Conference in October.
