Eight Investment Partners moving forward with high profile industry recruit

Eight Investment Partners, a boutique investment firm owned by the staff, has announced the hire of high profile industry veteran, Brian Thomas as General Manager – Business/Investments.

Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Eight Investment Partners (“8IP”), Kerry Series stated “Brian brings his extensive experience to 8IP which combines investment expertise and knowledge of the business of funds management. This is a significant addition to our team”.

“I am very happy to join a boutique funds manager that has a strong investment culture”, Thomas commented. “The track record of out-performance over the past 5 years of their small companies equity products is testament to the focus, experience, and networks of the investment team. The 8IP Australian Small Company Portfolio, a highly concentrated portfolio offered as an SMA, has achieved exceptional gross returns of 42.1% per annum since launch in January 2014. I’m also excited by the 8IP Australian Equity Impact Fund that was launched early last year to invest in ASX-listed companies that have a positive social or environmental impact. As well as supporting great companies and seeking to measure their impact, the portfolio has a gross return of 24.0%”.
