AFA and TAL call for Female Excellence in Advice nominations

The AFA Female Excellence in Advice award 2017 finalists.

The Association of Financial Advisers  (AFA) and TAL are calling on females in financial advice to nominate themselves, or others, for the AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award (the Award).

The Award, now in its eighth year, was established to encourage more females to enter the advice profession, in turn providing advice clients with more choice. The Award also aims to contribute towards addressing female underinsurance and low superannuation levels. Philip Kewin, AFA CEO said, “Over the past eight years, we have developed an alumni of true female leaders who are continuing to attract more clients to advice through reshaping the perception of advice and the way it is provided.

“We are looking for those female advisers that not only have a passion and commitment to professionalism, but also a real focus above and beyond the day-to-day in increasing female involvement in financial advice.”

The winner of the Award will receive a $15,000 education package, courtesy of TAL, which will be tailored to the winner’s requirements in furthering her professional development.

Niall McConville, TAL General Manager Retail Distribution said, “TAL has been a proud sponsor of the AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award since 2011. We are committed to gender equality and we believe that recognising outstanding female advisers is essential if we want more of our community to engage with their finances and live a life filled with choices, options and freedoms.

“Get involved this year and nominate yourself or an outstanding female adviser whose passion and dedication is making a real difference.”

Nominations close on 30 June 2018, with applications closing 6 July 2018. To nominate visit:
