Leading superannuation research house SuperRatings is deepening its actuarial capabilities, with key new hires catering to further growth in its consulting arm.
Rachael Povah joins the SuperRatings team as General Manager of Consulting, having previously worked for Mercer and Aon. As an actuary with 20 years of experience in superannuation and employee benefits consulting, Rachael’s focus will be on utilising SuperRatings’ depth of data to identify growth opportunities for super funds and their members.
Further bolstering SuperRatings’ technical capabilities, Minjie Shen joins as Consulting Manager with experience advising government and corporate trustees and employers in previous roles with PwC and Mercer.
“We are excited to have Rachael and Minjie join the SuperRatings team at a critical time for our business and the industry,” said SuperRatings Executive Director Kirby Rappell. “Their depth of experience, including in areas of product design, insurance pricing, and M&A due diligence will enable us to deliver a superior full service offering to the super industry.”
Rachael and Minjie join an existing team of experienced consultants across Sydney and Melbourne.
“Our mission is to help super funds maximise value for their members,” said Mr Rappell. “This requires a diverse set of skills and backgrounds to meet the different needs and challenges of individual funds. We are lucky to have a highly experienced team with a real passion for superannuation, and I look forward to working with everyone to secure members’ retirement outcomes.”
