The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is delighted to announce the launch of its inaugural FPA Careers in Financial Planning Event Series in partnership with Kaplan Professional.

Taking place in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, the new series of networking events runs from 12 March – 2 April 2019, providing aspiring business, commerce, and financial planning tertiary students with the opportunity to meet local and national employers, education providers, and recent graduates who have kicked off careers in financial planning during a time of enormous change in the profession.

Milo-Arne Wilkinson is confirmed as a key speaker for Sydney and Brisbane. She is Curator for ELEVEN, an executive leadership program by Kaplan Professional. FPA Student Member Angus McGregor will speak in Adelaide, and Milena König AFP®, Associate Advisor with Capital Partners Wealth Advisers will speak in Perth.

The cocktail style events includes drinks and canapés, icebreakers and informal networking, lucky door prizes, and tips on building a career in financial planning from industry experts and recent graduates.

Commenting on the launch of the series, FPA CEO Dante De Gori CFP® said: “We’re committed to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of financial planners, so I’m excited to kick off our Careers in Financial Planning networking events for students this month.

“This is a great opportunity for students and young professionals to come together with people who’ve chosen the rewarding and flexible career of financial planning, to hear what it’s really like, get some tips, and share ideas in a relaxed setting about the future of our profession.”

Each event is hosted by the local FPA Chapter and features a guest speaker with full details available on the FPA website.
