Successful growth strategy and growing pipeline prompts Centuria Heathley new hire

Centuria Heathley, the specialist healthcare property funds manager and a subsidiary of Centuria Capital Group (Centuria), has announced a new addition to its asset management team.

A growing healthcare portfolio and a number of upcoming acquisitions has prompted Centuria Heathley to bolster its team. Rod Owen-Jones has joined Centuria Heathley as Portfolio Manager across its national portfolio of 48 healthcare properties.

Mr Owen-Jones has been working in the healthcare, office and industrial real estate sectors for AMP Capital since 2004, holding various roles within its real estate and infrastructure business units. Most recently at AMP Capital, Rod had investment and portfolio management responsibility for AMP Capital’s infrastructure investments in aged care and healthcare including Opal Aged Care and Blue Cross Aged Care.

Speaking about the decision to expand the Centuria Heathley team, Andrew Hemming, Managing Director, said that the success of Centuria Heathley’s strategy to partner with growing healthcare operators has delivered a growing pipeline of property acquisitions which has in turn driven the need for additional asset management resources.

“Our acquisition pipeline remains strong, and the expansion of the asset management team means we have appropriate capabilities to manage our growing national portfolio. Rod brings considerable asset management capabilities and a specialist aged care skillset which will complement the existing team.” Mr Hemming said.
