Long established as the leading event and team building organisation in the Asia Pacific region, Team Building Asia have continued to innovate amidst the challenges of COVID-19, launching a monthly series of online conference events, to the delight of their clients.
On Friday May 15, Team Building Asia will host How to Sell When Nobody is Buying, led by global social leadership expert Andrea Edwards, interviewed by Tim Wade.
The web meeting will be full of relevant information including creating a social media blueprint, the social leadership philosophy and priorities for social leaders. There will also be action points including how to stand out when everyone’s digital, tips to get your digital messaging straight and the key dos and don’ts of social media leadership in or out of lockdown.
“This is an opportunity to transform how we participate on social media for good. We’ll explore what it takes to become a better social leader, using well-defined messaging, and how you can lock in transactions when selling feels wrong.”, says Andrea Edwards, The Digital Conversationalist.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Team Building Asia were among the first firms globally to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. As leading experts in live events, they adapted to support their CXO community by providing interactive web based meetings to assist their community in staying ahead of what’s relevant today. The series has covered first new strategies for leading growth, second innovation and now the online meeting coversis social leadership.
David Simpson, Co-Founder and Director of Learning and Development, Team Building Asia explains, “At Team Building Asia, we are always all about innovation and creativity in the workplace. We have been challenging normal practices so that firms can increase their standards of excellence since we founded in 2002. COVID-19 brings an incredible set of new and changing parameters to deal with. We created this series to support our regular clients to not just survive but to change and thrive, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in today or tomorrow.”.
The events are open to entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, key decision makers and enterprise and corporate leaders looking for inspiration. The first two events were attended by up to 100 heads of businesses, including Fortune 500 firms and leading blue chip companies.
“When we do live events and create a space where the region’s most innovative leaders come together we see great ideas, opportunities and relationships emerge. Seeing this happen online is really exciting. Our clients and community have embraced this opportunity to come together in a collaborative environment to support each other and look for the opportunities that we can create in the new paradigm of business and society.”, says Stuart Harris, Co-founder and Managing Director, Team Building Asia.
Team Building Asia’s co-founders David Simpson and Stuart Harris are inspired by the world’s greatest leaders who look for the opportunity in every situation. One of the inspirations for the Leaders in Lockdown series was Michelle Obama who spoke so eloquently of her life after the White House. Simpson and Harris dismiss going back to normal and are seeking solutions for a new and better business world.
“What I’ve learned is that, get back on what track? It’s a whole new track. It’s not going back, it’s just all different, and it’s different forever. So it’s not getting back on track, but it’s creating my next track. I’m doing what you’re doing — I’m figuring out, ‘What do I want to do, what do I care about?’”, Michelle Obama, Former First Lady of the USA, quoted from the documentary Becoming.
