Senior appointments strengthen AFA’s leadership team

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Candice Spence to the role of General Manager, Marketing and Cameron Burne to the role of General Manager, Partnerships, with both joining the AFA senior leadership team.

Candice has more than 25 years’ experience as a marketing and communications executive in the financial services sector, primarily in the areas of financial advice, superannuation, investments and trustee services. She has held a number of senior marketing roles at BT and Zurich and most recently headed up marketing at the IOOF group.

Cameron has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, specialising in wealth management, insurance and superannuation. During his career Cameron has held financial adviser, business development and account management roles. Most recently, he was a Partnership Manager with AMP Financial Planning.

AFA Acting CEO, Phil Anderson said, “We are delighted to be welcoming Candice and Cameron to the AFA team. They are both highly skilled, seasoned professionals that join the AFA as we celebrate our 75th anniversary and build on our solid foundations. They will be integral to helping the AFA achieve its strategic objectives and mission to support our essential and valuable advice community.”

Candice started with the AFA in April and Cameron was appointed in March.
