Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) is extending hardship and emergency support to customers affected by recent flooding in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

Floodwaters continue to threaten many communities whilst others commence recovery in its aftermath. More than 10 emergency warnings remain in place across Victoria and New South Wales.

In addition to accelerated claims settling for property and motor, Zurich is offering emergency and interim payments to ensure its General Insurance customers receive immediate support. Zurich’s large supplier network is also ready to deploy assessors and builders once access to impacted areas is available.

Support is also available for Zurich Life and OnePath Life customers who have been impacted by flooding. This includes supporting those experiencing hardship either directly as a result of flooding, or due to volunteering or working with emergency response teams in flood impacted regions.

Suzi Leung, Chief Claims Officer, Life & Investments, Zurich Australia & New Zealand said: “The safety of the community is our priority. We urge anyone in flood-affected areas to follow the advice of local authorities and prioritise their safety.”

“As many continue to face the threat of flooding, others are now grappling with the aftermath. Zurich is here to ensure customers receive the immediate support they need as they begin to navigate the challenges ahead.”

If you are experiencing hardship, please either contact your financial adviser, Zurich on 131 551 or OnePath on 133 667 when it is safe to do so to discuss your options.
