Merricks Capital has announced its support for innovative philanthropy group 10×10 Philanthropy, with a multi-year funding donation.
10×10 Philanthropy is a venture philanthropy movement that specialises in identifying and supporting innovative and early-stage grassroots organisations that are working to solve social problems within local communities. It began in Australia in 2013 and has spread globally, raising and distributing over $5 million.
Merricks Capital Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer Adrian Redlich said, “We are delighted to support 10×10 Philanthropy.
“We know at Merricks Capital how important it is to partner with the right businesses to help them grow and prosper. 10×10 does just that – it identifies great ideas and provides early stage and ongoing support.
“Our involvement with 10×10 showcases the ability of private credit to provide valuable support, appealing to a broader range of investors, with significant community engagement.
“Our contribution aligns with our philanthropic objectives and provides an opportunity to create leverage for long-lasting social impact.”
10×10 Philanthropy Founder & Chairman, Laurence Marshbaum OAM said, “We are delighted that Merricks Capital has chosen to partner with us.
“We believe that social innovation lies at the heart of solving many of society’s largest problems, and that spirit of entrepreneurship is shared between Merricks Capital and 10×10.
“Merricks Capital’s support will ensure that a new generation of social entrepreneurs and social purpose organisations will be able to access capital and networks to help them to grow and deliver solutions to some of our society’s most pressing problems. We look forward to raising awareness around the organisations we are able to support and the impact we are able to achieve together.”
