Real assets produces stable income streams despite occasional capital value declines

Zenith Investment Partners says the real assets sector produces stable income streams for investors and has, in a historical context, rarely produced negative total returns despite occasional capital value declines. As a result, patient investors are unlikely to observe long-term value decline.

In its latest sector report: Real Assets, it says: “Over the last 12 months to 30 September 2023, Zenith’s rated Real Assets peer group has delivered returns on average of -3.91%, however, we highlight the greater dispersion in performance between subsectors than prior years. Notwithstanding this, we note that within portfolios, Real Assets continue to provide diversification relative to bonds and equities.”
