ANZIIF welcomes Dato’ Tan Kian Beng as New Ambassador in Malaysia

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is thrilled to announce Dato’ Tan Kian Beng as the new Malaysian Ambassador.
Tan’s ambassadorship aligns with ANZIIF’s ongoing commitment to advancing professionalism in the insurance industry across the Asia Pacific region.
As an ambassador, Tan will act as official representative of ANZIIF, working with insurance professionals and organisations throughout Malaysia.
With over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, Tan brings a wealth of knowledge in management, business development, and operations including underwriting, risk surveying, claims, and policy processing. He holds multiple qualifications, including a Diploma of General Insurance from ANZIIF and an ANZIIF Fellowship.
As an ANZIIF ambassador, Tan is dedicated to driving professional development and education for insurance practitioners in Malaysia, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Tan aims to “bridge local industry practices with international standards, enhancing the capabilities of Malaysian professionals in the global insurance landscape.”
He views his ambassadorship as “a unique opportunity to give back to the industry”, advocate for higher standards and support the next generation of insurance professionals through education and mentorship.
