Global alternative investment manager Ares Management Corporation (Ares) and its Ares Wealth Management Solutions (AWMS) platform have appointed Equity Trustees as the responsible entity for its newly launched Ares Private Markets Fund (AUT).
Andrew Godfrey, Executive General Manager of Corporate and Superannuation Trustee Services, Equity Trustees, said: “We are pleased to have been chosen by Ares as the responsible entity for their latest private markets offering. With an already established strong working relationship with Ares, we look forward to further strengthening this partnership and supporting their ongoing and future successes.”
AUT is an Australian-domiciled unit trust designed to provide wholesale clients in Australia access to Ares Private Markets Fund (APMF). APMF, a US-registered management investment vehicle distributed through AWMS, is a private equity investment solution, anchored in secondary investments, that seeks to deliver attractive long-term capital appreciation to investors.
Barry Miller, CEO of APMF and Partner in the Ares Secondaries Group, said: “Since launching APMF we have seen continued enthusiasm from the wealth channel, and we are thrilled to introduce access to APMF in Australia as we seek to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns on behalf of our investors.”
Ares is a leading global alternative investment manager offering clients complementary primary and secondary investment solutions across the credit, real estate, private equity, and infrastructure asset classes. As of 30 September 2024, Ares’ global platform had approximately US$464 billion of assets under management.
Mr. Godfrey added: “Equity Trustees’ deep expertise in fund governance enables us to excel in the alternative asset sector and collaborate smoothly with alternative asset management firms.”
