Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners (‘Quinbrook’), a specialist global investment manager focused exclusively on the infrastructure needed for the energy transition, has announced the expansion of its Relationships and Fundraising Team with new senior appointments.

Ryan Gordon brings over 20 years’ experience in investment management sales and investor relations, covering private and listed markets including infrastructure and private equity. Ryan joins Quinbrook after 18 years with QIC, an AUD$120 billion institutional investment manager. Ryan held a range of roles at QIC since first joining in 2007 and in that time fostered a wide range of global institutional investor and consultant relationships including across APAC and the Middle East. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Clients and Business Development where he was accountable for the leadership, development and execution of the company’s global sales and client strategy. Earlier in his career, Ryan held positions at Goldman Sachs, Bank of New York and National Australia Bank.

Jonathan Borland has been appointed as Senior Director, Relationships and Fundraising, Europe and Nordics. Jonathan joins Quinbrook after 6 years with DWS Infrastructure, a market leading core infrastructure asset manager, where he served as a Coverage Specialist. Previously, Jonathan spent eight years as an Investment Specialist at Aberdeen Standard Investments and three years as a Performance Analyst at Standard Life Investments. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a Fund Administrator at HSBC Global Banking and Markets.

“Quinbrook is experiencing rapid growth with multiple new team appointments across all key functions of our business as we launch new products and seek to expand our investor base across the world. As highly experienced professionals in private capital, Ryan and Jonathan will each play an important role in expanding our internal sales and client engagement capabilities,” said David Scaysbrook, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Quinbrook. “Ryan and Jonathan’s respective track records of raising institutional capital for infrastructure and building long term investor relationships, make their appointments both very timely and welcome.”

Ryan Gordon succeeds Rob Kerr, currently Quinbrook’s Managing Director, Head of Capital Formation and Investor Engagement, APAC. Rob will leave the firm at the end of July.

“Rob has been a highly valued member of the Quinbrook senior team for the past 8 years and has been instrumental in raising considerable capital for multiple Quinbrook funds and establishing important relationships with our APAC investors. Quinbrook sincerely thanks Rob for his contributions to the firm and wish him the very best for the future,” said David Scaysbrook.
