The fast-growing ethical investment manager and super fund, Australian Ethical, has announced the appointment of Anthony Lane as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 10 November.
Anthony has more than 25 years’ experience across legal, investment, transformation and operational efficiency within superannuation, investment management, financial advice and banking services organisations. Prior roles include COO at MLC Wealth, Global COO at Mercer Investments, and Group Executive, Risk & Governance at Colonial First State. Most recently Anthony has been consulting to Australian Retirement Trust.
As COO, Anthony will report directly to CEO, John McMurdo, and become a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. The role is responsible for overseeing Australian Ethical’s day-to-day operations and driving strategic initiatives to support growth, resilience and efficiency.

Anthony joins Australian Ethical as the investment manager announced it has exceeded the milestone of $14bn in funds under management.
