Mark Puli joins board of Australian Ethical Superannuation Pty Ltd

Australian Ethical has announced the appointment of Mark Puli to the board of its super fund, effective 11 February 2026.

Mr. Puli was CEO of ESSSuper from 2011 to 2022, having joined the fund as CFO in 2009. Following ESSSuper, he joined MLC Life Insurance (now Ascenda) as Chief Group Life Insurance Officer, leaving MLC in December 2025.

Chair of the Board, Fiona Reynolds said, “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the Australian Ethical Superannuation Board. Mark brings with him significant leadership experience in the superannuation and life insurance sectors, and he will be a real asset to the Board as we continue to improve our digital member services and lay further foundations for future growth.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Puli said, “Superannuation is critical for all Australians, helping them to live the life they want in retirement, and I’m excited to join the Board of the Australian Ethical Superannuation, enabling its members to feel good about how their money’s growing as well as how it is being invested.”

Mr. Puli’s appointment is part of an ongoing process of board renewal at Australian Ethical Superannuation and follows the appointment of Fiona Reynolds to Chair of the Board in August 2025 and the retirement of Kate Greenhill from the Board in November 2025.

Fiona Reynolds concluded, “It is an exciting time to join our Board, and I know the management experience Mark brings with him from his roles at ESSSuper and MLC will further enhance the Board’s oversight of Australian Ethical Superannuation.”
