Viridian unifies investment businesses as demand for personalised investment solutions grows

Viridian Financial Group (Viridian) has brought its investment capabilities together under a single brand ‘Infinity’ marking the next stage in the evolution of its investment business as Advisers and their clients increasingly seek investment solutions that can better reflect individual client needs.

The move brings together Infinity’s asset management and private portfolios (wholesale) businesses under one brand, following sustained investment in portfolio management, research, middle office and distribution capabilities. Today, Infinity manages more than $5.5 billion on behalf of clients and supports a growing number of Advisers both within and outside the Viridian network.

Chief Executive Officer Raamy Shahien said the move reflects both the evolution of the business and the changing needs of advisers and their clients.

“The advice market has evolved significantly over the past decade. Advisers are supporting increasingly diverse client needs, from retail investors through to high-net-worth families and not for profits, requiring highly personalised investment solutions,” Mr. Shahien said.

“Infinity has evolved alongside those needs. We’ve continued investing in our investment capability, expanded our product offering and grown our presence beyond the Viridian network.

“Bringing our investment capabilities together under one Infinity brand reflects the business we’ve become and provides Advisers with a dedicated investment partner that can support their business and clients across the full spectrum of investment needs.”

Supporting Advisers across a broader range of client needs

Infinity’s investment offering now spans retail managed account portfolios, unit trusts in Australian equities and private markets through to bespoke private portfolios, thereby providing advisers access to investment solutions that reflect the varying needs and complexity of their clients. By partnering with Infinity on portfolio management, Advisers can remain focused on delivering the strategic advice and client relationships that matter most.

Through its Private Portfolios offering, Infinity supports more than 500 family groups and not-for-profits, providing tailored portfolio management for clients whose investment requirements extend beyond a traditional managed portfolio.

Chief Investment Officer Piers Bolger said Advisers increasingly require investment solutions that can cater to a broader range of client needs.”

“No two clients are the same. Some are well served through diversified managed account portfolios, while others require a bespoke portfolio solution built around their individual circumstances and investment requirements,” Mr Bolger said.

“Our investment capability has evolved to give Advisers greater flexibility in matching the right investment solution to each client. We see Infinity as an investment partner, working alongside Advisers to help meet their clients’ investment needs while maintaining the same disciplined investment philosophy and governance framework across our range of investment solutions.”

The broader investment offering builds on several recent milestones for the business, including Infinity’s flagship portfolios surpassing ten years of performance, making it one of Australia’s longest-running separately managed account offerings.
