Natixis Investment Managers (Natixis IM) has announced the creation of the Global Client Development division which will bring together all the teams involved in serving clients across the entire value chain.
It will include three new functions: Client Markets, organised across six geographical regions; Partnerships; and Product Range & Solutions. Fabrice Chemouny, currently Head of International Distribution, will lead the division as Chief Client Officer. He will take on his new role on 1 January 2027, reporting to Philippe Setbon, Chief Executive Officer of Natixis IM. The new organisation will be implemented once the information and consultation process with the relevant employee representative bodies has been completed.
The new organisation is part of the BPCE Group’s VISION 2030 strategic plan. Built on Natixis IM’s organic growth ambition, this change is intended, in particular, to adapt the firm’s distribution model in order to accelerate Natixis IM’s global growth and better meet its clients’ needs. The creation of a single global platform bringing together the United States, and the rest of the world will foster synergies between regions, give clients easier access to the full range of expertise offered by Natixis IM and its affiliated asset management firms, and enhance operational agility.
The new department will be organised around three main pillars:
1. Client Markets: a single distribution platform organised across six regions
Each of the six regions will focus on meeting its clients’ needs and investment
preferences while taking local regulations and constraints into account:
-
United States
-
Northern Europe and Canada: United Kingdom, Netherlands, Nordic countries and Canada
-
Continental Europe and Latin America: Western and Southern Europe, including France; Central and Eastern Europe; Latin America; and US Offshore
-
Middle East, Central Asia and Africa
-
Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan
-
Japan
2. A new Partnerships department
Its remit will be to strengthen existing strategic distribution partnerships and establish new ones with banking networks, insurers and other distributors around the world, making Natixis IM’s offering accessible to a wider range of clients.
3. A new Product Range & Solutions department
This department will define the product range strategy based on clients’ needs, developing solutions in areas such as retirement, long-term savings and wealth management, drawing on the offerings of Natixis IM’s affiliated investment management firms.
Philippe Setbon, Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Investment Managers, said: “We are a global player with deep local roots. In an increasingly fragmented international environment, we want to strengthen both of these dimensions. Our strategic plan has proven successful, and we want to go further. This new organisation further strengthens the position of clients at the heart of our model across all regions and supports the acceleration of our growth.”
Fabrice Chemouny, who will become Chief Client Officer of Natixis Investment Managers on 1 January 2027, added: “By bringing our teams together in a new global organisation, we combine in-depth knowledge of each market with the strength of a global player. We will also make our offering available to more clients through new distribution partnerships and work with them to develop solutions tailored to their long-term needs. This transformation will give us the agility we need in volatile markets, foster synergies across regions and drive innovation in the service of our clients.”
