Trellia Wealth Partners has announced the appointment of Belinda Barclay as Head of Adviser Engagement strengthening the firm’s support for financial advisers and their practices.
In the newly created role, Ms Barclay will lead onboarding and transition management for new practices, and work with advice businesses to build capacity, adopt technology and AI, and pursue growth opportunities.
Ms Barclay brings more than 20 years’ experience across financial advice, practice support, governance and business development. She worked as a financial adviser for more than a decade, including in Singapore, where she helped establish Aon’s wealth management business. Most recently, Ms Barclay was General Manager, Advice & Governance at Oreana Partnerships, where she led the team supporting more than 100 advisers across 40 businesses. Her responsibilities spanned practice management, onboarding of new practices, advice technology, and licensee governance and risk.
“Belinda brings a valuable combination of strategic perspective, hands-on advice experience and a strong understanding of what financial advice practices need to grow. She will help us deepen the support we provide to advice practices and advance our ambition to be a trusted partner to our clients and the broader industry,” said Mr Cameron Spittle, Managing Partner at Trellia Wealth Partners.
“Financial advisers are well positioned for growth as more Australians seek guidance to achieve their financial goals and make more confident investment decisions. Belinda will help Trellia Wealth Partners, and our clients make the most of this opportunity,” Mr Spittle continued.
Ms Barclay said she looked forward to working closely with advice practices.
“Advisers are balancing the needs of their clients with the demands of running and growing a business. I’m looking forward to helping practices build the capacity, systems and support they need to serve clients well and achieve their growth ambitions,” she said.
