Adviser productivity platform, Marloo, and product comparison and portfolio construction engine, ProductRex, have integrated to give financial advisers access to superannuation and investment product research and comparisons directly within Marloo.

Financial advisers can now compare products and build advice in the same place by marrying client data and product research on over 18,000 managed funds, ETFs, managed accounts and platforms.

Within Marloo, advisers can create and test scenarios, compare existing and alternative product options including features, fees and asset allocations, and generate advice documents. Advisers can connect their ProductRex account, with scenarios flowing both ways between the platforms.

The integration with Adviser Ratings-owned ProductRex is Marloo’s third advice-specific integration this year, alongside life insurance provider, Neos, and AI-powered budgeting and cashflow modelling tool, RetireMap.

Kailee Maloney, Marloo Director, said the group’s recent integrations reflected its strategy to deliver progressive solutions for end-to-end advice.

“We are passionate about helping advisers drive efficiencies and giving them a better experience that streamlines and accelerates the process of developing and delivering comprehensive advice,” she said.

“There is an increasing number of innovative AI-powered advice tools available to advisers and the space is really opening up. We strive to be at the forefront of advice innovation, and our goal is to partner with advice firms to drive efficiency, productivity and business growth. That involves collaborating with other technology and service providers on advisers’ behalf.”

Angus Woods, Founder and Chief Executive of Adviser Ratings, said the ProductRex and Marloo integration would drive efficiencies, productivity and engagement for their mutual clients, and provided a glimpse of what could be achieved when data and technology providers worked together.

“Advisers need time back in their day so they can spend more time seeing clients, and a big part of making that happen is an open, integrated ecosystem of data and software providers,” he said.

“Our mission is for ProductRex to be the profession’s most trusted product comparison engine and to achieve that we have to be fast and accurate, and AI helps us be both.”

“AI assistants are only as good as the data underneath them. ProductRex keeps the product universe and fees accurate and up to date, and Marloo puts that in front of advisers inside the tool they already use. We’ll keep plugging into the software advisers rely on every day.”

ProductRex is currently integrated with eight advice-tech providers.

Marloo has a clear development roadmap and strong pipeline of integrations slated for the next six to 12 months. In September, the group launched AI assistant, Ask Marloo, across the whole client book, and a new home screen.
