The 2023 Theme for International Woman’s Day Is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’.

As we celebrate 10 years of Inspire, this theme is the perfect correlation to what Inspire stands for – Inspire was created as a community of practice of the AFA to support and encourage more women into financial services. We have come so far and we celebrate the men and women who have supported Inspire over the years, however, there is still more work to be done.

We want to invite you to join us celebrate this milestone for inspire and also to be part of a movement – it does not just stop on this day – the goal of this event is to motivate, inspire and evoke change; change in our mindset, change in our work cultures, and change in homes and communities.

Keynote Speaker: Danielle Dobson – Author of “breaking the Gender Code”

Danielle Dobson is a powerful speaker who connects with her audience in a relatable, engaging way. She uses her warmth, passion and knowledge to spark curiosity and guide audiences to redefine their limiting beliefs, based on societal perceptions of gender roles in relationships, workplaces and communities. So they can put themselves in the driver’s seat and experience fulfilment in all areas of life. As a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with extensive 14-year corporate experience, Danielle has covered everything from private practice to Not for Profits to global Fortune500 companies and has lived and worked in five countries. Identifying the high level of stress and overwhelm experienced personally and by working mothers, Danielle wanted to find a way to make a difference to their daily lives. Ten years ago, she dedicated her career to helping professional working mothers find more freedom and fulfilment through coaching in wellbeing. Driven by the mission to find answers to why the daily juggle for balance between work and life is so elusive for women in high pressured roles, she interviewed 100+ women (and a few good men) in leadership positions across a diverse range of industries.

Charity: The Equanimity Project – an organisation

The Equanimity Project is an Australian-first initiative and a solution focussed advocacy agency for women, (their children, and pets) escaping domestic violence and women at risk of homelessness.

We provide a high level of case management and support that navigates the myriad of services uniquely needed by each woman.

Services that take into consideration the need for short-term responsive solutions that include safe accommodation, technology checks and formal reporting to the long-term endorsement of recruitment training, job opportunities, mentorship, relocation and therapy.

We provide ongoing encouragement to regain their independence, safety and self-assurance and commit unlimited time, as needed in response to any challenges they may face.

We would like to offer your organisation and teams the opportunity to get involved and be a key part of this event.
