Launch of the 2015 AFA/TAL Female Excellence in Advice Award (FEIA).
Part of the AFA Inspire “Bubbles and Troubles series”.

Join us for an afternoon of Celebration as we launch 2015 FEIA Award & help celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the award, along with the 2nd Anniversary of AFA Inspire.

We are delighted to host award winning Australian broadcaster, comedian and author, Libbi Gorr, as our guest speaker.

Libbi’s extensive media career has challenged stereo-types. On the iconic television show Live & Sweaty, and subsequent TV specials, her well known character Elle McFeast used humour to tackle taboo subjects, including sexuality and sexism, to great effect.

After a stint in Sydney, Libbi returned to her native Melbourne in 2012 to take up a role as a presenter with 774 ABC Radio Melbourne. Radio journalism allows Libbi to draw upon her experience, intelligence and directness, which, blended so brilliantly with her sense of humour, is a delight for listeners.

Libbi will share her journey from law school graduate to successful media businesswoman including her insights into leaping into the unknown, succeeding in male dominated industries and balancing professional achievement with engaged motherhood.

In her characteristically irreverent style, Libbi promises to entertain and inspire and is a must see for anyone looking for reassurance that taking risks pay off and that smart girls don’t finish last!
Libbi will then host a panel discussion with 4 decorated financial advisers at various stages of their careers, highlighting practical tips for success.

AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award – a joint initiative by the AFA and TAL, Register online supported by Macquarie Graduate School of Management. The award recognises women in financial advice who are making a significant contribution to their profession, their community and their clients.
