Full details of our amazing speakers:
- Scott Dawkins is Director and Principal Financial Adviser at Griffin Financial Services. As well as being a highly energetic person and one of the smiliest people I know, he’s also quite an inspiring individual. Scott will be sharing with us a little about the incredible circular journey his life has taken to lead him to a place where he passionately works with clients to help them protect themselves from the worst life can throw at them. You will be blown away by the power of Scott’s WHY.
- Tony Bingham is an adviser with Godfrey Pembroke and was recently voted in Top 100 list of Nicest People in the World. Tony started his own business 3 years ago and after forming some clear views from personal experiences around the type of business he wanted. He’ll be talking passionately about why he believes in his chosen model.
- Kylie Macfarlane is part of the CBA team responsible for making sure the business achieves what it sets out to. However, she also has some very persuasive views around the importance of “down-time” in achieving peak professional performance. She’ll be talking about her own sabbatical experiences and how time off has helped her achieve more.
- Anyone with a passing knowledge of Randwick may well be familiar with Cameron McAusland. As the pioneer of MLC’s Direct Advice initiative, he’s going to be talking about how he came to be involved in this innovative business model and, mostly interestingly, why he is so passionate about being an entrepreneur.
- When Keith Peel is not heading up Best Practice for CBA and teaching leaders how to articulate their ‘why’, he is passionate about the role the financial planning has played in making sure he can spend as much time as possible with his daughter Sophie. He has an inspiring story to tell about the outcomes his planner is working to with him to achieve – time. Don’t miss this!
- And last but by no means least, Louise Lakomy has found time our from her two roles as mother and financial planner to share with us a little of her interesting journey and what drives her.
What is Elev8?
Elev8’ is a great new concept in networking events, that goes to the heart of learning and sharing. Now it’s second year, it’s about engaging with young and young-at-heart professionals who want to hear from other ‘grassroots’ professionals about fresh ideas and concepts on better ways of engaging with clients, transforming their own business and themselves.
Why Elev8?
- There is a need for a gathering for young-minded, dynamic advice professionals who are not excited by ‘standard’ networking events.
- This is an opportunity to gather in a casual, friendly environment to meet and be entertained by passionate (non-professional) speakers talking about things that will inspire, excite and perhaps even challenge.
- Hear fresh ideas from other professionals on better ways of engaging clients, building their businesses and other industry relevant concepts.
- And because of the format, you don’t have to sit through Death by Powerpoint to get there – quick, engaging, five minute snippets that get to the heart of great ideas.
