Lifting the Lid on Industry Super Fund Fine Print

Providing advice in a client’s best interest too often comes down to a conversation on price alone. This presentation looks at the insurances offered through industry super funds and how the contracts in some popular funds have recently changed, often increasing costs, reducing benefit amounts and/or changing definitions making it more difficult to claim for existing members. It also looks at how a number of specific industry funds allocate their capital and some of the implications (asset allocation and unit pricing) of increasing exposures to unlisted and alternative assets.
