The FPA Western Division Chapter Committee invites you to join us for a Professional Development Day on Friday 20 October, at the Orange Ex-Services Club.

Join three respected industry experts as they explore economic impacts on Australia, monetary policies and the role of financial planners in asset management to strengthen your strategic and technical knowledge.

  • Kerry Craig, Executive Director at JP Morgan, will present ‘What are the real risks in China’.
As the world’s second largest economy China is pivotal to the outlook for global growth and more recently a persistent source of concern. But as fears of economic collapse start to recede, we ask what are the real risks in China and how might it impact investors in the near term.
  • John Valtwies, Vice President at PIMCO, will present ‘Busting the Bond Myths’.
John’s presentation will cover PIMCO’s latest economic outlook stemming from their recently held Cyclical Investment Forum, expectations for monetary policy in Australia and globally. John will also de-bunk a number of myths around the fixed interest asset class and provide client friendly language for advisers to discuss an often technical and complicated asset class
  • Cristean Yazbeck, Managing Director of Hamilton Blackstone Lawyers, will explore ‘Asset Protection: The role of the Financial Planner’.
Clients are now turning to their financial advisers, and not their lawyers, for advice on how to utilise their investments to maximise asset protection, especially as family dynamics become more complex. In this session, we will discuss several strategies to maximise asset protection for your clients, and the increasing role the financial planner is being asked to play in this process.

The Committee looks forward to seeing you there!
