While the Australian market has presented rewarding investment opportunities over the last 10 – 15 years, our in-depth fundamental research has led us to the view that the most compelling investment opportunities on a risk/reward basis are now largely found in select off-shore businesses.
In our view, this provides a unique opportunity for Australian investors to add genuine diversification to their existing portfolios, which are often over-weight Australian based assets, largely due to “home-market bias”.
As one of the very few Australian based global fund managers, we specialise in identifying genuine mispricing opportunities away from the “noise” of major global trading hubs, and also take into consideration currency and Australian tax implications.
Despite the most tumultuous market conditions in a generation, PM CAPITAL has managed to deliver the following outcomes:
- since inception in 1998, the Global Companies Fund has provided approximately 210% more capital than the MSCI World index, after fees; and
- since inception in 2002, the Enhanced Yield Fund has returned 6.5%p.a. after fees with low volatility and maintained liquidity (delivering positive 1 year returns even during the depths of the global financial crisis).
We look forward to sharing with you where we are seeing opportunities, our rationale and the evidence supporting our investment thesis.
Our speakers include:
- Paul Moore, the Chief Investment Officer and founder, who will discuss his investment process on discovering the greatest global opportunities, as he has done successfully for almost 30 years, and where he is currently finding the most compelling opportunities across the globe.
- Jarod Dawson, the Portfolio Manager of our Yield strategy who will provide an education piece aimed at helping you help your clients understand the components and implications of duration risk.
