Jordan George, the SMSF Association’s Senior Manager, Technical & Policy, will provide an update on the key regulatory and legislative developments impacting SMSF trustees and their advisers. This will include looking at recent legislative changes, ATO guidance and possible Government policy changes.

Jordan George, Senior Manager, Technical and Policy, SMSF Association
Jordan George is Senior Manager Technical & Policy at the Self Managed Superannuation Fund Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA). Jordan is key member SPAA’s technical team. He is responsible for managing SPAA’s submissions to government and regulators on new policy and legislative measures, and is a main contributor to SPAA’s advocacy and technical work.
Prior to joining SPAA, Jordan spent four years in Canberra at the Australian Treasury where he worked on business tax policy issues, primarily on capital gains tax and also small business and tax administration issues. As such, Jordan brings to SPAA first-hand experience in developing tax policy and legislation, and advising government and Ministers on budget, policy, and regulatory issues.
Jordan has a Masters of Taxation at the University of New South Wales, an Honours degree in Economics and a Law degree from Adelaide University, along with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
