Katherine Hunt is AFA’s Student of the Year
Katherine Hunt from Aspire Financial Planning on the Gold Coast has taken out the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA)’s 2010 Student of the Year Award (the Award).
Outgoing AFA National President, Dr Jim Taggart, OAM said the Award recognises the outstanding performance and achievements of financial advice students.
“Commitment to education and lifelong learning are a fundamental part of the AFA’s ethos,” Dr Taggart said, “and so I am very pleased that this year’s Student of the Year is Katherine Hunt.”
Katherine was also a 2009 and 2010 winner of the Queensland Student of the Year State Award. She holds a degree in Psychological Science, and Commerce (Financial Planning) from Griffith University and a First Class Honours Degree in Finance, earning the University Medal (Dux).
“We continue to see outstanding talent amongst our student of the year candidates and Katherine is no exception,” Dr Taggart said. “She is committed to her profession and to her clients and is making a major contribution to enhancing the reputation of the profession as a whole.”
