Aviva Investors expands Fixed Income and Equities capabilities in Asia Pacific with two senior appointments
Aviva Investors today announced two new appointments to its Singapore office.
Kevin Talbot, CIO for Asia Pacific Fixed Income.
Kevin will be responsible for the development of the Fixed Income business for Aviva Investors in Asia, working closely with the other regional asset class heads and in consultation with our Fixed Income investment business heads in the UK and Chicago. He will be tasked with designing our fixed income investment processes, building on the performance record we need to pursue our retail and third party ambitions in Asia.
Kevin has a wealth of experience in the Fixed Income area with over 30 years’ experience in financial markets, principally managing large portfolios and teams for major Australian financial institutions. He joins us from ANZ Private Bank in Singapore, having previously worked at AMP Capital Investors in Melbourne for 10 years, most recently as CIO for Listed Assets for Asia. He also spent 13 years at National Mutual Funds focused on Australian fixed income.
Manish Singhai, CIO for Asia Pacific Equities.
Manish will responsible for managing and developing our equities investment business in Asia. He will drive our retail and third party equities proposition in Asia, working closely with the other regional asset class heads, and in consultation with our Equities investment business heads in the UK and Melbourne.
Manish has 18 years’ experience in the asset management industry and has worked in India, Indonesia, Hong Kong and since 1998, Singapore. In 2008, he set up his own hedge fund, Arjava Capital, where he was the principal portfolio manager for Asian ex-Japan equities. He also spent a decade at AllianceBernstein (formerly Alliance Capital) as an analyst and later as CIO for Asia, Ex-Japan Equities. He has also worked at ABN AMRO Securities and Caspian Securities.
