FASEA releases online Education feedback services
The Corporations Act 2001 requires all advisers to complete a bachelor or higher degree, or equivalent qualification, approved by FASEA.
FASEA has previously issued its education pathways policy detailing the various education pathways for advisers to satisfy the education requirements.
FASEA has released an online tool to give new entrants and existing advisers within Australia feedback on their required education pathway .
The Education Pathways Tool includes FASEA’s currently approved degrees and FASEA approved recognition of prior learning course work, and the relevant degree definition. The tool will be updated as new approvals take place.
How does it work?
The Education Pathways tool will prompt a series of questions related to an adviser’s circumstance. Based on the information entered, feedback will be provided on the education pathway and the courses likely to be required to be completed.
FASEA also releases its Australian feedback Service online form, whereby new entrants and existing advisers can apply to FASEA for additional feedback if required, once they have used the Education Pathways Tool.
“The release of the Education Pathways Tool will assist advisers to identify the likely required education pathway to comply with the education standards,” FASEA Chief Executive Officer Stephen Glenfield said.
The Education Pathways Tool and the Australian feedback Service is for Australian qualifications and courses. For Foreign Qualification assessment, please refer to the Foreign Qualification Assessment Service.
