Update from FASEA on the Financial Adviser Examination

FASEA continues to work closely with ACER to ensure exam processes are streamlined, accessible and effective and exam sitting opportunities are optimised.

FASEA September exam

The September exam was held in 15 centres across Australia from the 19 to 23 September 2019.  A total of 1697 advisers sat the exam over 79 sessions.

The results for the September exam will be released in mid-November 2019 following a comprehensive marking approach and analysis.

FASEA December exam

The December exam will be held in 19 centres across Australia from the 5 to 9 December.  In addition to metropolitan locations, regional centres for the December sitting are Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Gosford, Orange, Wagga Wagga, Albury/Wodonga, Bendigo and Geelong.

Registrations for the December exam are open and will close on 8 November 2019.  Over 2430 advisers have already registered for the December exam.

Online practice questions are available for advisers who have registered for the exam.

Dates and venues for February and April 2020 exams

Dates and venues have been finalised for the February 2020 and April 2020 sittings of the FASEA exam as follows:

Preparing for the exam

To prepare for the exam, advisers can access FASEA FG003 Preparation Guide, which includes the detailed curriculum and reading list, the candidate video and the FG004 Practice Questions.  In addition, advisers that have registered for the exam have access to an online version of the practice questions accessible via their FASEA Exam account.
