Principal Asset Management appoints Global Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy

Richard Hill

Principal Asset Announcement has announced Richard Hill joins the firm as Global Head of Real Estate Research & Strategy. In this role, Hill will work across portfolio teams on capital allocation strategies developed through a relative value framework. He will also lead the real estate global research team with responsibility for delivering the house economic and real estate views to clients.

Hill joins Principal with 24 years of industry experience, most recently serving as Head of Real Estate Strategy & Research at Cohen & Steers Capital Management. Throughout his career, he has led real estate investment strategy and portfolio management, advising global institutional clients, developing proprietary valuation models, optimising asset allocation, and driving thought leadership on market trends and innovation.

Hill joins Principal with 24 years of industry experience, most recently serving as Head of Real Estate Strategy & Research at Cohen & Steers Capital Management. Prior to this role, Hill was Head of Commercial Real Estate Research at Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for REIT equity research, CRE debt strategy and macro property research. Hill received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
